Mosswood Meltdown

Oakland’s beloved festival Mosswood Meltdown is returning July 6th and July 7th, 2024 to Mosswood Park. Today, the festival announces its full lineup, which features a very rare (and highly-anticipated!) set from The B-52s; Bay-Area mainstays Hunx and his Punx; the iconic Big Freedia; Redd Kross; Pure Hell playing their first west coast show in over 30 years; Gibby Haynes and the Paul Green Rock Academy performing songs by the Butthole Surfers; Cher Strauberry with her new project WIFEY; Bush Tetras and more. And of course, the festival would not be complete without its inimitable and esteemed host, John Waters. Waters himself will be one of the judges for the festival’s first-ever drag contest, hosted by Peaches Christ. As CBS News Bay Area praised, Mosswood Meltdown is “one of the most entertaining two-day celebrations of punk in the Bay Area.” This is a weekend not to be missed!
