Today, Chicago three piece Dehd unveil “Window,” the final single from their much anticipated album Blue Skies, out this Friday, May 27th on Fat Possum. “Window” showcases Dehd’s trademark combination of heart-naggingly infectious melodies, Ramones-on-steroids choruses, and hormones so full-bodied they sound like Jason Balla and Emily Kempf have somehow willed not just their lungs but their kidneys, intestines, and more to sing along. In Kempf’s words, “Window” is about “being obsessed with true love and the construct of ‘the one.’ I wrote it to address my addiction to the terrible and wonderful pursuit of perfect love.” Presented alongside a gorgeous video directed by Kevin Veselka and Kempf, “Window” is just the cherry on top of the very delicious cake that is Blue Skies.
Dehd are currently spending their summer taking the US by storm, selling out shows in NYC, LA, San Francisco, Austin, plus a special sold-out night in Chicago, set to be livestreamed on Mandolin on June 4, 2022 at 11pm ET/ 10pm CT.. They will hit the road in August to play a clutch of major festivals across the UK and EU before returning in November for headline shows of their own, including shows at Austin City Limits Festival and Brooklyn Steel, their biggest NY headline show so far!
