Contact Jacob Daneman about Adam Cayton-Holland
Adam Cayton-Holland, a Denver-based stand-up and co-founder of The Grawlix comedy troupe, will be releasing his third album Adam Cayton-Holland Performs His Signature Bits. Recorded at the historic and bocce-ball filled Union Hall in Brooklyn, New York, Adam wastes no time addressing the obvious: He’s a rascal. And he wants to discuss everything from his audience’s least favorite race, to Satanism and condoms full of Slurpees. Seeing as “Least Favorite Race” is his first joke of the set, listeners will immediately understand one thing: This man knows how to break the ice.
Along with his Grawlix cohorts, Cayton-Holland created, writes and stars in truTV’s Those Who Can’t, in which Adam plays Spanish teacher and bon vivant Loren Payton. He was named one of 25 “Comics to Watch” by Esquire magazine and one of “10 Comics to Watch” by Variety, and has appeared on CONAN, Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents…, The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, Happy Endings, Deadbeat, Flophouse, Hidden America and @midnight with Chris Hardwick. Adam has two albums, I Don’t Know If I Happy and Backyards, both available on iTunes, and his first book, Tragedy Plus Time, is due to be released by Touchstone Books in 2018. Adam lives with his wife Katie and a purebred Chesapeake Retriever named Annabel Lee. He once threw out the opening pitch at a Colorado Rockies game and people have described him as “genial,” and “with decent teeth.”
